Bass fishing lures

Bass fishing is one of the most important game fishing in UK. The main season for bass fishing starts from April, when the climate in UK becomes warmer and the bass move inshore. Bass is a highly carnivorous voracious feeder and therefore it is easy to lure the fish using different types of artificial lures and baits and hook them. Bass fishing is so popular in UK that there is a big industry for all the accessories required for bass fishing.

Different types of fishing lures are available in the market. These include soft lures, hard lures, spinning lures, etc. The soft lures are artificial baits that are available in the shape of baitfishes in different colors. These are available as different packages of different typed of baits and the user could choose these packages and use the types of lures of his desire. Such packages are cheaper than the when these baits are bought separately (Cheap bass lure, 2007). It imitates an ‘injured fish’ swimming action, which attracts bass and it could be caught. Hard lures include bass bullets that are in the color and shape of baitfishes, which normally form food for bass. These are slow sinkers and therefore imitate baits, which are prevalent in surface waters. Rattling lures have a rattling device inside and would produce a rattling action in water and thus become irresistible for large predators such as bass. Spinning lures have a spinning or wobbling action while in water and are provided with a light, which flashes while in water. These actions and flashing of the light imitates fast swimming action of the baitfishes. Brightly colored feathers are also used which looks like shoal of fish to the predators (Bass fishing with spinners, 2007).

Thus it could be seen that bass lures comes in different forms and colours in the market. They also come in different packages so that it would be cheap and with a single purchase the user could have all the lures of his choice. It forms an important industry in UK. This is mainly because of the interest of the people of UK in game fishing.
